   We like this, it conveys a nice atmosphere. Exposure is nicely balanced between the highlight and shadow (almost like a well executed HDR…
   However, we would wish for more sharpness, but late night - bar and the small sensor of the 4/3……

   This is enjoyable. Since it’s not late evening, but in the afternoon, let’s blame the shooter although I think the bottles are sharp enough, and when you think about it, isn’t that what matters…

   Nice atmosphere indeed, I also like the way part of the face is in the shadows. It gives the picture a sort of warmth and nice feel. Great picture.

   I think that when it comes to sharpness, here is a slight blur to the image that can be seen at the largest picture size. I think that is due to the shutter speed rather than the sensor. I also think that a higher ISO would have been beneficial here without degrading the image qualilty… but then again I am brand new in this game, so what do I know

   There are two things that I like with this image: The light on the face (and the shadow) as you point out, Ivar. Then there is the blue light on the bottles. The contrast between artificial ligth and natural ligth gives a good effect.

   Scrutinizing the image, I think you are right after all. I first thought that the bottles were sharp and that the aperture setting (f4) gave a small DOF effect. I blame partly my hands, which I though would be steady even at 1/50, and the 40-150 lens which is a kit lens and not sharp per se.

   Just to reassure you, I only drank a bottle of Ginger Ale.

   Det er litt bevegelseuskaphet i bildet. Stangen er ikke helt rett? Eller et det et fint bilde når det gjelder eksponering og komposisjon. Fint blått lys.

   Istemmer … fantastisk stemningsfullt bilde. Lys og skygge på bartenderen og det blå lyset. Det er en ro i det. Liker godt 1/1-formatet. Jeg hadde nok rettet opp stanga litt, men hva vet jeg.

    Tro det eller ei, men jeg har rettet opp bildet i Aperture (tilsvarer Lightroom), og brukte stanga som mal. Så enten er det et synsbedrag, eller så hadde Aperture (eller jeg) en dårlig kveld foran dataen.

    Believe it or not, but I used the pole to measure how to straighten the image in Apple’s Aperture. So it has either to be a trick of the eye, or Aperture had a bad day at the office.
