   Great title and a good title is “half the picture”.
   Being a fan of your photography, I don’t think this is one of your best –
   Could you have tried a wider angle lens to emphasize one of the smiles? There seems to be a blue cast. This is in the spirit of honest feedback -

   Being a fan of your comments, I think you’re entirely correct, Knut or Randi :-P.
   Technically and compositionwise this image lacks in most areas. When I shot the picture, it was the blue in the seats that caugth my attention, but when I came back from Spain all the smileys struck me as extremely sweet and funny.
   I could have done a lot with the image as you say: Close up and DOF is one option, wider angle is one, a different viewpoint, or a different crop? Lighting is not very good, so there is much to improve, but I couldn’t figure out the blue cast in post production.
   But I thought the story was so good that I just had to share it. I hope you agree.

   Definitely, the smileys made me think of how comforting it must be for the beach chairs, to finally, in the end of the day, get rid of all those “corpses”!

   Honest feedback is a very good thing. Regarding the blue cast: the chairs are in shadow so it’s kind of good enough with a little blue in it, isn’t it. it gives you the feel that it is late and getting chiller.
   The feeling of peace and loneliness could have been improved with no people in the background. Couldn’t you ask them to walk somewhere else?

   I have strengthened the blue colour a tiny bit in Aperture (The Macintosh alternative to Ligthroom) to get the chairs even more in focus, and increased exposure just a fraction. But that’s about the only thing I’ve done here.
   Maybe I should have kept it they way it came out of the camera, which I found just a little too dark, but then again giving a little more feeling of “eventide”.

   Ser nesten ut som de venter storinnrykk av Vålerenga – supportere.

   Siden du skriver mate, trodde jeg neste det var fra Australia, så var det Spania.

   Et teknisk god bilde med flott dybdevirkning. Soloppgang, palmer og klare senger for litt heftig soling og mysing på damer! så ja, chairs, mate! Eller betyr det noe helt annet?

   Hyggelig med en positiv tilbakemelding, Selsius.
   Det er nok østkysten av Spania, nærmere bestemt Costa Blanca, og der går solen ned i fjellene og ikke i havet.
   Som alle vet, er det en stor kontingent briter i området, så “Mate” får duge. Det blir ikke det samme billedordspillet med Hola Amigos! ;-).

   Nice to get some positive response, Selsius. This is the east coast of Spain, namely Costa Blanca, and I’m afraid the sun sets, not rises - so the chairs have a heavy day behind them. The word play Chairs, mate doesn’t work in Spanish, Hola! Amigo just doesn’t cut it!

   I recommend that you have a look at Selsius’ new photo blog. That guy’s got talent!

   Ikke så dårlig, men å nevne Vålerenga på disse sidene var litt på kanten…
   Norsk eller engelsk. her er det stor plass!

    Min første tanke da jeg så dette bildet var: hæ??? Hva er det brodern legger ut dette for? Men så så jeg smileyene på stolene og smilte selv. Artig med mange tomme stoler som nyter freden etter en dag med tung bør…
